Well we’re at the end of another month and fortunately one month closer to summer! I can’t believe how fast March went. It was a busy but fun month, and I can’t wait to see what April holds!
Well, along with spring comes every fashionista’s enemy… Awkward weather! I’m not a fan, but that’s probably because I love consistency. In all things. So I like to know what to expect. But pretty much March through May is a world of unknown. Last week it got so cold I was in pants and a jacket, and the week before I was laying on the beach sweating. Luckily I’m in Florida so it’s beautiful no matter what the temp is!
It’s hard to know what to wear, since the weather man bless his heart is not always right. You wanna be warm in the chilly mornings, but not sweating to death by the end of the day. So I’m sharing my tips for overcoming the awkward weather! And one of my favorite spring outfits, since the shirt is open on the sleeves and back it’s nice and cool but pairs well with pants! [and I love the mesh detail]
- If you’re wearing pants, don’t wear long sleeves. Try to balance it out. If you’re covering your legs, then expose a little more arm so that you’re warm enough, but not too warm by the end of the day.
- If you’re wearing shorts or a skirt, go with long sleeves. I am a huge fan of the sweater and denim cutoffs look, and it is especially great when it’s a little chilly out. You stay much warmer than if you’re wearing a tank top, but you can still get the springy vibe you’re going for by wearing the shorts.
- Find a light jacket that goes with everything. I found my “everything” jacket two years ago and still wear it all the time. It honestly works for every season, and the color is pretty versatile. I didn’t get a picture of it, even though I did have it with me at this shoot (oops), so I’m linking a good one here!
I know these are simple tips, but they’re rules I live by quite often! I hope they help some of you. Thanks for reading!
