Blush Crush

Hi guys! Happy hump day ๐Ÿ™‚ I almost said happy Monday butย then realized today is Wed and my days are all mixed up.

My hubby is about to be gone for awhile so we took a last minute getaway trip to Atlanta the last few days! We had so much fun. I came home with a full heart and hopefully some new abs from laughing so hard. JK we ate out for every meal so bye bye abs. It felt great to get away for a hot minute!

Anyways, first let’s talk about my current spring obsession: blush. It’s the color of the season and I’m not mad about it. I went shopping the other day and everywhere I looked, I saw blush tops and accessories.

So this top combines two of my favorite trends – the color blush and the off shoulder top! Seriously as good as it gets for a top. Plus it’s so light and comfy, yet the sleeves give you some cover if you’re going out at night! I wore this out to dinner the other night and it was the PERFECT lightweight long sleeve for a spring evening. I can’t wait to pair it with white skinnies or denim cutoffs in the summer!

Second. While we’re talking about vacation and indulging and all the cheats I ate *and loved* while traveling with my love… lets also talk about balance!

Balance is a great thing. And I am so happy I have finally found a level of self love where I can find my balance.

Don’t get me wrong – I still have moments where I talk bad about my body and hate what I see in the mirror (I’m a work in progress but I’m also better than I have been in a long time!!). I’m not perfect!!

BUT! I’m not gonna let my fear of maybe eating extra calories overcome my enjoyment of YUMMYย FOOD and time with my hubby! Something I’ve learnedย and truly believe is this:

Hating your body won’t get you nearly as far as loving it.

So moral of this rambling story: enjoy the occasional indulgences! You will drive yourself crazy if you are too hard on yourself. Trust me. Don’t deprive yourself of good moments with friends/family because of your fear of food. Food is to be enjoyed. If you’re a foodie like me, you will be so sad if you skip the treats 100% of the time. As long as you love yourself enough to put real, clean food in it MOST of the time and remain active — you can have that cookie every now and then ๐Ÿ˜‰
